Yup this means HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR MIKU!!! 8D It’s been three years now since Miku was out on 31 August 2007, time sure flies really fast… It surely doesn’t feel that long since I started following Miku on her first year, on her first anniversary and second one, VOCALOID is also the main reason of me continuing this blog midway when I lost focus, well to put it simply, thank you Miku! and other VOCALOIDs too 8D

I have nothing much to share this time around xD I’m lacking of my Miku figures and the cakes!! Dx But hey, apparently GSC already prepared something to be reserved on this Miku day 8D

Nendoroid Hatsune Miku Absolute HMO Edition!! ^^ I’ve been wanting this since I saw it at the Wonfes 2010.. xD

This super cute Miku Nendoroid is scheduled to be released on December later this year and with the retail price of 4000 yen.

Definitely a must get for Miku fans to add to their Miku troops army… 8D

Looks like they come with an extra face for Nendo Rin and Len and probably that recorder too… xD No need to wait, go preorder them now from Hobby Search! Or your favourite figure shops

And also take a look at this if you haven’t, to know where is this Nendoroid from =P Caution, cuteness overloads!!! 8D

Vocaloid Figures Coverage In Wonder Festival 2010

Some Vocaloid figures are spotted in the Wonder Festival 2010 Summer earlier today. I really don’t have anything much too say, they’re so damn nice that makes me want to buy them all… Well they have a lot of the other figures as well which I want too… WHAT TO DO! Anyway here they are, up there is Vocaloid Lily by Phat Company scheduled to release on November 2010. Read more for more stuffs =D

Hatsune Miku Koi wa Sensou by Good Smile Company, no details yet. This looks so awesome… and the pedestal is damn big, lol I wonder how much will this cost…

Black Gold Saw by Good Smile Company, also no detail. WANT! DX That saw with the pose look so bad ass 8D Playing pool? xD

Hatsune Miku Tony Version by Max Factory, scheduled for January 2011 release. As previously previewed, it has nice pose, and with the colour now, it looks awesome… 8D

Kousaka Kirino Nendoroid by GSC, no details yet. This tsundere imouto from oreimo is the one series that I’m currently following from the light novel, then goes to manga, and now the anime is upcoming. Really looking forward for it! ^^ Kuroneko Nendoroid is also coming, with Kirino figma too… 8D

For now that’s all, i’ll update it if there’s anything more to add here, if not i’ll just update it on separate post. ^^ Most of them here I do want D: Ugh… Okay, time to work and get more money. XD

Upcoming Vocaloid Figurines By Max Factory

Here are some preview scans of the upcoming Vocaloid Figures 8D Figma Luka, Figma Dead Master and Hatsune Miku Tony Taka Version scale figure. ^^

Figma Luka and Dead Master looks nice and good, but unfortunately I stopped buying figmas, prefer Nendoroid more so I will be skipping on this too I guess.. Though I admit the Luka one looks really nice and cute with the maguro… lol

No price and date yet for Dead Master Figma, for Luka Figma she will be scheduled to release on September this year with retail price of 2800 Yen.

This Miku scale figure by Max Factory looks stunning… I really like the pose and that hair line… Depending on the final coloured version I think I might be getting this. Looks really nice to add to my Miku figure collection.. XD No price and date yet for this one too…

Another loli-less Christmas ends (more or less all over the world).. *kusu* and I was waiting ALL night (and day.. since I was being considerate and noted the timezone difference) for you to drop me a loli at my door!! I’ve been a good lolicon and stopped thinking loli things for a good 24 hours (largely due to a heavy hangover from the eve), and you still didn’t send me a loli!! This is outrageous! The lame chimney excuse doesn’t work anymore, time to modernize yourself santa! And don’t give me the Agnes Chan one either, if UNICEF can accept an old man sneaking into little girls’ rooms all over the world every Christmas eve, doing god-knows-what for the past centuries- they can sure as hell close an eye for the old man delivering little girls to caring, sweet oniichans- like my goodself!! *sigh* Luckily, mizuki-san (pixiv) drew a loli santa I can substitute with for a real life one to last another year..

Hopefully, everyone else had a Merry Christmas, if not- there’s always New Year! /(_ _)\

But to say my Christmas was terrible isn’t right either.. there was Hellsing OVA 7, the promotional ep 1 airing of pantsu-loving loli anime - Chu-Bra, and Utawawamomo OVA 2 was awesome (still waiting for my blu-ray to arrive though).
Aruru-tan was cute as usual, but I particularly liked the monkey-raeps-eruru scene.
Later in the episode, we get aruru raeping the monkey back. Yeah, serves him right!!

…. which reminds me of another nice Christmas Penguin raep scene by Tiru san.

Oh and the project-railgun team gave otaku the world over (ronery or not) a little Christmas gift as well.
A great bikini episode (kawaii yo, saten chan kawaii~) with biribiri in all her glory on the mega screen at the end.

In addition, Q;indivi apparently came out with a new cover of Wham’s hit, Last Christmas (yes… not another one), which I found to be pretty nice.

Yeah. .I just had to post an idolm@ster video for for the occassion. ^o^ yukiho~
We also had an epic 3DPV for [Escape] by Anomaro-san uploaded to youtube.
No new vocaloid x’mas song caught my attention in particular.. but I feel this song by M@SATOSHI is a bit underrated.
There’s also a megpoid x miku duet version.. but I prefer miku’s voice alone.
There’s an apparently fishing video though.

Not Christmas related, but this is pretty nice too.. it was a pretty rainy Christmas here in Singapore.

Apparently, the touhou people were too occupied with upcoming Comiket77 (29-31 December) and the complete version of Hong Meiling’s fantasy 3DPV video (youtube link) to be bothered with little things like Christmas (apart from a few x’mas remixes).

Lastly, a John Lennon classic ”Merry Christmas (War is Over)” – praying for the innocents suffering from the greed of a few. That said, with Volvo sold to Geely and GM refusing another bid for Saab is quite a sad turnout for the Swedish automobile industry… and pride for that matter.

: tsun tsun, i’m a cute loli, not some kinda major kusanagi/kos-mos hag. :’(

After quite a hiatus thanks to the holiday mood and permanent brain damage from kampfer, I’m here (thanks to kaze’s persistence) with a somewhat late post on the opening of preorder for Max Factory‘s Hatsune Miku VN02 (read: zero two) mix figurine, originally unveiled at Wonderfest09 in June-July 2009 (wonderfest 09 post at VO). The 1/8 scale figurine, slated to be out in June-July 2010 (will probably be delayed), is sculpted by the talented Shining Wizard @ Sawachika (well known for this wonderful peach-pit’s rozen maiden figurines at earlier wonderfest events - shinki & suiginto) and based on the original illustration by artist nagimiso san under Max Factory’s quality production *heh*. Personally, as the image caption above hints – I’m not particularly fond of this figurine, I’ll admit it’s well done, but it’s just not the hatsune miku I like. So unfortunately, I’ll be passing on this 131 USD figurine – no it has nothing to do with the price tag >_>;. Nonetheless, the reservation has started for this elaborately detailed kos-mos/major kusanagi-style hatsune miku at hobby search or other figurine websites/shops earlier this week. The arguably unrelated image above is by kakaon san ^^

Apparently the miku VN02 mix design is more popular than the song. I believe the song might have been featured at the club event – vocaloidnight 02 (thus VN02) – i’m not sure. ^^;
Oh, and there’s a nice wallpaper of the Miku VN02 mix design from nagimiso’s site.

Comparing the prototype and the original masterpiece shown at the Wonderfest 2009, the obvious differences are the translucence of Miku’s sleeves and the shape of her base (minor). Nonetheless, knowing max factory’s standard, these type of fine details may still be altered before the final product – sometimes good, sometimes horrid.

Nendo Plus Cars and Rollers Reservation Open

A few days ago, Mikatan posted about these cars and rollers up on her blog, kinda missed it since I was busy with stuff >< but yesterday the reservation for these cute plus items is opened. =D You can start preordering over at the Hobby Search, for Miku, Rin, Len and Luka on the link respectively.

They will be retailing for 1480 yen each and will be scheduled to release on March next year. ^^ I probably will not be getting these, I know it’s so cute to have them riding this, but apparently the size is only for the puchi nendo… D= I might be buying these if it’s the normal nendoroid size xD Reserve yours now if you’re interested in it! ^^

Attack of the new vocaloids, loli-loid included!

With kaze busy rushing his work, it’s me and my poor title naming sense again! Although slightly late *cough*, now that more solid information is available, I’m here to report on the 3 new vocaloids and 2 voiceroids, all slated to be released on 4 December 2009 by AH-Software. The new 2nd generation vocaloids are SF-A2 code name Miki, who will be featuring in the VOCALOIDS★Xmas album, and a new forbidden-love pair of teacher and loli student, Hiyama sensei and Yuki-tan. Not that I have anything against new vocaloids being churned out so fast (it’s definitely a good thing for fan artists and fanfic writers), but whoaa.. at this rate we’ll really need a tekken-style vocaloid battle royale game, so vocaloids from different companies can slug it out at each other to determine the str⑨ngest vocaloid!! I’m rooting for yuki-tan!!! Card game/Manga/Anime can follow. 　We’ll call it Vocaloid Blades and make it really pervy. uhuh

That aside, the 2 voiceroids are more or less an advanced japanese MSagent text to speech softwares, which come in the personality of a 5-yr old loli Tsukuyomi Ai chan, and a 7-yr old shota Tsukuyomi Shouta kun　(apparently a Tetsujin 28-go reference).

So without further ado, here’s a summary of the new vocaloids/voiceroid to be released this coming December. Just how big a piece of the vocaloid market pie can these garner is surely anybody’s guess.

SF-A2 Code name Miki – with voice samples from Furukawa Miki (formerly with supercar) possibly from her collaboration with Saihate’s producer, onyxP. Miki is set to be a futuristic android pop singer character with a strong resemblance to Topless/Buster Machine no. 7 Nono-chan.
Suitable tempo: 70-170
Suitable note range: E2-G4

Vocaloid Sensei (teacher) – Hiyama Kiyoteru - Sorry, I can’t help but relate this character to Aoki from kodomo no jikan. His profile mentions he plays in a rockband, Ice mountain during the weekends. So maybe he’s cool, unlike aoki. *cough*

Vocaloid Shougakusei (grade/primary school student) – Kaai Yuki - Why I left her last? Cuz she’s the ONLY new vocaloid you actually need to remember!! Forget the above, this is it! I don’t care if her voice is not that unique or anything, this adorable 9-year old yuki chan is the NEW VOCALOID STAR!!! I wouldn’t mind if she takes over Miku’s spot as the most popular vocaloid. omg, i love loli-loid so much. Her height puzzles me slightly though, it says big apple 10 .. o.o; new york 10? A friend said this could be a reference to japanese parcel size, that’ll be around 105 cm.

Update: Apparently as the anti-loli, enemy-of-2chan/otaku Agnes Chan (former 80s idol now ambassador of Japan’s NGO committee supporting UNICEF) is likely to be scrutinizing poor Yuki-tan, a yuki-tan cover of Agnes Chan’s Try Again translated in Japanese (about half of the song only) was uploaded to nico early Saturday. Luka had also previously covered this song back in February and her voice is used for part of the chorus.

Anyway, one of the first things that came up in mind when seeing these new vocaloids and that pic above by kl@ san was yuki-tan and hiyama sensei doing a cover of the duet “ai no lolita” (Nanako SOS).
And perhaps coincidentally, the loli competition have forced Crypton to reconsider the importance of its Project If.., thereby creating a new twitter account in crypton’s latest progress report on the IF vocaloids were loli, they’d sell 10000 times more project .

Happy Halloween!! haha well it’s already over, on this side of the world. Personally, I don’t celebrate it anymore, but for those who do, hope you had fun trick-or-treating or enjoyed yourselves at the halloween dances/parties. I doubt it’s a special day in Japan as well, but as usual, the vocaloids were celebrating it over at niconicodouga and pixiv, among other online places - the image above is by 84 in pixiv.

For this year, a new vocaloid halloween event video worth highlighting is probably MachigeritaP‘s new work, “Dream Meltic Halloween” .

MachigeritaP was also responsible for last year’s vocaloid halloween video hit, ” Halloween Monster Party Night“.

Unfortunately, I’ve not seen any new vocaloid videos utilizing the new nico(9)’s unlimited bitrate feature for their videos.
I hope I can look forward to awesome vocaloid HD PV on nico from now on \^^/

Project DIVA Arcade Costume Entries

No, this is not the final costume that will appear on the Arcade version, this is just some of the costumes that were submitted on the costume design competition in PIAPRO and caught my attention. The submission itself was ended yesterday on 5pm JST. Surprisingly quite a lot of designs came in within this 20 days, with a total around 533 submission, and around 200 of them was submitted on the last day… (Yes I look through most of them myself lol…) So without further ado, let’s look through some of my favourite =D

My favourite among the costumes I found, I really hope the choose this one… xD She looks awesome lol.. and definitely love that bag haha..

This one somehow reminds me of Sailormoon lol…

Among all those Japanese themed costumes, this one also caught my attention, Miku looks cute as Indian girl ^^

As for the two other competition, loading screen illustration and favourite song illustration, they are still open until 23rd November. Right now not much submission on both categories, and seriously lacking on the favourite song illustration… xD

Hatsune Miku Project DIVA Premium Figure

Recently a post in PIAPRO blog mentioned about another Hatsune Miku figure by SEGA. There is not much detail in it though, some things that I catch is this figure will be available in game center as previous figures by SEGA, though it is not mentioned as a prize in UFO catcher or can be normally bought there. Apparently it won’t be sold in normal figure shops I think, and it is scheduled to be out on this coming November. More picture under the cut.

It is a bit bigger than the previous figure by SEGA, can see from the packaging xD
